CONTRACTS & GRANTS
The Contracts & Grants Units are part of the Finance & Administrative Support Division and are responsible for procuring complex projects, managing contract development and execution, monitoring contract performance and compliance, and overseeing grant-funded initiatives. The Units work collaboratively with department leadership, service providers, community-based organizations, and funding partners to support effective service delivery and ensure compliance with local, County, State, Federal, and funding requirements.
Contract responsibilities are organized by division and program area to provide focused oversight, consistent contract management, and enhanced support to department operations.
ADULT SERVICES AND JUVENILE FACILITIES DIRECT SERVICES
This portfolio oversees contracts supporting Adult Court Services, Re-Entry and Pretrial Services, Adult Field Services, and Juvenile Facilities Direct Services programs. Responsibilities include contract development, negotiation, execution, monitoring, and compliance oversight for community-based and contracted service providers.
POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, JUVENILE FACILITIES OPERATIONS, AND DEPARTMENT-WIDE CONTRACTS
This portfolio oversees contracts supporting the Positive Youth Development Division, Juvenile Facilities operational services, and department-wide contracts. Responsibilities include contract administration, performance monitoring, and compliance oversight for services and systems that support departmental operations and youth programming.
ADMINISTRATION, POLICY & STANDARDS COMPLIANCE, AND GRANT-FUNDED CONTRACTS
This portfolio oversees competitive grant-funded contracts, Administration Division contracts, and Policy & Standards Compliance initiatives. Responsibilities include contract administration, compliance monitoring, and coordination of grant-funded programs and projects. The Grants Unit reviews external funding opportunities for eligibility and alignment with Probation Department priorities; provides technical assistance throughout the grant application and proposal development process; submits funding proposals; and supports fiscal and programmatic reporting requirements for grant-funded projects. Grants Unit also assist with the development of grant-related community partnerships and coordinate Letters of Support.

The Community Corrections Partnership Executive Committee (CCPEC) Community Outreach Event Sponsorship is a small grant initiative designed to support community-based organizations committed to engaging and enhancing the lives of individuals within the Realignment community through outreach events. This program offers funding of up to $10,000 to cover expenses related to the outreach events that directly benefit and engage the Realignment population.
PURPOSE:
The goal of this initiative is to encourage and support community-based organizations in hosting outreach-related events that provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, education, and resource-sharing for the realignment community. By offering financial sponsorship, the fund aims to foster community engagement, promote personal development, and address the unique needs of the Realignment population.
ELIGIBILITY:
This program is open to all community-based organizations, including but not limited to: Non-profits, Grassroots groups and Local coalitions.
An organization may request a grant no more than two times within a fiscal year (July 1st – June 30th) for different outreach related events.

If you are an agency or nonprofit organization requesting a letter of support or commitment from the Probation Department in connection to a grant proposal, please complete the following form with all required attachments. All letter of support requests required the signature of the Chief Probation Officer and should be submitted at least 10 days prior to the deadline to ensure proper review and signature. Please make sure to include all required attachments or your request may not be approved. If you have any questions about the status of your request, please email losrequest@acgov.org.
