RESOURCE CONNECTION NETWORK

Summary

The Resource Connection Network (RCN) is a collaborative and connected partnership of community-based organizations and city government agencies, who provide prevention services and programs to youth in Alameda County ages 8-21 who are system-involved, or at risk of becoming system-involved.

The RCN agencies are categorized as a Youth Service Centers (YSC), Community Programs (CP) or Probation Youth Employment Programs (PYEP) depending on the services they provide. The eleven (11) YSCs provide trauma-informed therapeutic counseling, case management, and diversion services. Youth Service Centers are located throughout the county and serve youth that reside or attend school in their local community. The fourteen (14) CP providers offer specialized service and programs in one or more of the following categories: Anger Management, Civic and Social Engagement, Cognitive Behavior Intervention, Diversion, Gender Specific Programs, Group/Network Intervention, Life Skills and Support Services, Mentoring, Outpatient Drug Treatment, Parenting Classes and Restorative Justice. There are specific Community Program providers throughout the County. The PYEP programs offer employment and job readiness training.
